August is salmon madness month on the Great Lakes, with Frankfort, Michigan being the shining star of the famous Lake Michigan salmon fishery. The fishing is simply unbelievable at times, with exciting action for adult Chinook and Coho Salmon lasting well into September.

Since fishing is so good, boat traffic is sometimes intense. Stormy Chinook routinely leaves the “pack” and fishes productive areas north of Frankfort that few boats ever visit.

Morning – 6 Hours or limit catch. Trips run daily, beginning before dawn. Most popular!

  • It is strongly recommended to make your reservations as early as possible, because prime dates go quickly for each port.

  • A $100 deposit is required to guarantee a date in advance; Visa and Mastercard accepted.

  • Recommended items to bring; warm clothes, food, sunglasses, camera, and a cooler for your fillets. (All fish will be cleaned and bagged.)
